April proved to be another incredibly strong month for the team at James & James Estate & Letting Agents, with an impressive number of agreed sales across Worthing and the surrounding areas, and even better, May has continued in exactly the same positive direction.

Throughout April, we successfully agreed sales on a wide range of homes, from first-time buyer apartments through to substantial family homes and premium properties across Goring, Ferring, Broadwater, Worthing and beyond. In total, the team agreed sales worth well over £12 million during the month, highlighting the continued confidence from buyers in our local market.

Some standout sales included properties in Brooklyn Avenue, Fernhurst Drive, Sark Gardens and Bodiam Avenue, alongside strong activity across popular roads such as Somerset Road, Hurley Road and Goring Way. It was also fantastic to see continued demand across all price brackets, with buyers remaining active from starter homes right through to seven-figure properties.

What’s particularly encouraging is the consistency of the market. National reports released recently have shown that sales agreed across the UK increased significantly during April, with buyers becoming more decisive and confidence improving after a slower March. Locally, we experienced exactly the same trend, with motivated buyers continuing to compete for well-priced homes.

The market remains very needs-driven, but correctly priced properties are attracting strong levels of interest and moving quickly. That has been reflected in the number of successful sales agreed by our team throughout April and into May.

We’re also delighted that May has started just as strongly, with further sales already agreed across the area and continued enquiry levels from buyers looking to move before the summer.
