Ferring can be found 3 miles west of Worthing town. There is an amateur football club, a cricket club, and a village hall with two meeting rooms. Ferring C of E Primary school can be found in Sea Lane, and there are a few places to eat and drink including a Spanish restaurant, and a couple of pubs.

The beach facilities include a licensed cafe which accepts dogs, toilets, beach hut hire, and a car park. If you are a dog owner, the beach itself is great as there are no restrictions. Horses can also be seen in the early morning as they gain access from the nearby Goring Gap. 

Ferring Country Centre is a charity providing support to adults with learning disabilities. They have a cafe, garden centre, farm and outdoor play area which is open to the public 7 days a week. The centre is located next to Ferring Rife.
